... did you transfer the ROM? -why did you transplant platter instead of head assembly? It cannot read boot adaptives from the SA, which can be due to wrong pcb, wrong fw, weak heads. if you wanna learn, reassemble the donor and check if it still works :) pepe |

Thanks I have fixed corrupt file and have stopped background scanning. But still getting read errors due to TEC sectors. How to deal with them.Also I want to confirm SMP modifications are correct are not. |

Seem that head 1 is faulty then. Are you cloning drive to drive or drive to image? MRT when clones ... your cloning drive to drive, in this case you might have another head with some issue (weak head). 40-60 MB/s cloning speed it might be normal if you are doing drive to image ... |

That's what i thought, but before thinking to swap heads, you should try to stop reallocation process. You could try to load a LDR ... by doing head map and virtually turn off heads that you suspect are bad/weak. If one head has problems, this can help you to clone all other surfaces ... |
