December 11th, 2008, 23:11

Hello Brothers.

Yesterday I have updated my PC3000-UDMA with the new release. And has successfully repaired and recovered the data from 7200.11 (500 GB) Hard Disk

Cant stop my self to post something for the Community.
I have also uploaded the video for you.

Really a great tool.

Now when your customers argue pricing with you because they "saw the video on how easy it is to fix", you'll know why :(

Hi Drccsc.

Customer can for sure argue even if they have not seen the video. But friend there is a cost of product, Labor, Lab, other expenses.

I do not mean to offend anyone..If you were data rec pro's and into hard disk drive technology you could have researched the solution yourself... Pity was such easy process LOL

It is "easy" with PC3000 UDMA. Less easy to figure out and find a fix. Anyway I think it's not a good post in my opinion. I stated many times that our target should be the persistence of OUR market. The thread "will this forum jeopardize our bread and butter" was only a typing exercise, then.

Something important should be added to this post: The price of PC3000-UDMA ...

I do have a BSY 7200.11, and I'm pleased to see that the fix really works. Surely won't pay $2k for the fix, but I won't say this is a $50 job :)

I think Admin could do no worse than remove the video ? before it ends up on You Tube.

This should be discussed in a private forum....

See what you have done now. Remove the Vid before it's too late. You might have already cost me my holiday home Florida!

I already had contacts for fixing my disk before this post. Prices were correct, and this vid doens't change my mind about that. So no problem for me 'bout this vid.
The other thread about this fix stated it was an easy task to do, once you have the right hardware and software (which cost a lot).

Okay, I have yet to see a 7200.11 with the firmware problem you guys are discussing. And I use a lot of 'em. Are cheap power supplies the problem or something?

We're seeing no end of them. IMHO suspiciously so!

Only seen one physical problem with 7200.11, so far. But the guy did drop it from some height.

Every other one has been fixable.

I've seen quite the opposite. Havent had one of these firmware issues yet but lots of seized spindles. You fancy swapping a few? :D
