Hi Spildit,

Thank for summarising what Doomer wrote.

Can you work with 5400.5 and apply m0 from 7200.11 for interest,
then verify which parts of SA become overwritten.

Looking forward to receiving your revised opinion.

wow
that's something I don't know
of course if you are not mistaken in your knowledge

@Spildit,
You spoiling this thread. Please buddy, type somewhere else.
parts of SA, which you are guessing do not get overwritten when
applying 7200.11 m0 to 5400.5.

What is needed for part of solution (not selfscan) is command options and specification
for terminal command m0 in Level T - period.

For some who might not know you can access 5400.5 using
same terminal specs as 7200.11, (38400,N,1,8,N) ->> CTRL-Z
you can go to C Level and obtain commands listing (Q), but
this drive does not include command options (Help).

I have no doubt all will be revealed soon.

For that you need the factory ST code.. And I don't think anyone will spoon feed you the rapidshare.com/files link you would probably spread quicker than swine flu

Just try various combinations of this command on this golden drive. Just don't change "m" command structure to recalc your SA area and don't full format it :roll:

I see your using Acelabs version of the command.. Don't know why they do it that way :idea: :?:

Agreed, just applied 7200.11 m0 command to good working 5400.5 and
got the same result.
Different family different command - different command options, and
no help for commands. Who's got this for 5400.5 ??

Code:
Max Wr Retries = 00, Max Rd Retries = 00, Max ECC T-Level = 14, Max Certify Rewr
ite Retries = 00C8
User Partition Format   0% complete, Zn 00, Pass 00, SoftCnt:0, SoftPBA:0, SoftE
rrCode:0, ZnReWrite:0, ZnReCertify:0, IsRd:0, HardPBA:0

User Partition Format Successful - Elapsed Time 0 mins 00 secs
Total Grown Defects:0 XFatalBlkAddr_PBA:0
