 Post subject: samsung s2 portable 250 gb freezes my computer

hi
i was trying to format my samsung 250 s2 portable drive when my pc power suply fail, y replace the power suply start my computer and try again to format my drive every thing was perfect, then i realize that if i disconect and reconect my drive my pc freezes i can do ANYTHING, if i reboot with my drive conected it starts ok and works perfect but if i try to conect the drive when my computer alredy is runin it just freeze
can anyone tell me how can i solve this

Have you tried connecting some other USB drive to your machine? Maybe it is not a hdd issue.

OK, have you tried connecting this usb hdd to some other machine? Does it work normally there?

Try a DOS SMART diagnostic tool like MHDD, which is downloadable here on this forum.
