Drive stays busy and writes to terminal:

Heads are fine, worked on another drive. Donor heads does not work on patient, gives same output from terminal as original heads.
After changing back original heads I can hear two louder head positioning sound and in terminal I get this:

So maybe someone gives me hint whats wrong with this drive? Is this "BSY problem" as seen on 7200.11 series?

No, definitely not the "BSY problem" as per .11 series.

Looks to me like some bad areas in SA.

Did you ever solve your problem?
I have the same hard disk you have and with the same problem.

When I open the Hyperterminal and press CTRL+Z, the only message I get is a continuously repeat:

LED:00000047 FAddr:FFFFFFFE
LED:00000047 FAddr:FFFFFFFE
LED:00000047 FAddr:FFFFFFFE
...
and so on.
I can't even put any command!

No.
Have you tried shorting reading channel to get access to terminal?

No. I'm totally newbie in dealing with Hard Disks.
I don't even know what are you talking about.
Are you suggesting me to use a jumper to join the pins GND TX RX?

Has anybody found a way to solve this problem yet?

I have a similar problem with this drive. I have the terminal connection but get a ProcessRWError
and the drive keeps outputting text to the terminal. I can't type anything. Also can' t find any useful information on the code "0xC3160081" that it generates.

There is SRS (Seagate Recovery Services) facility in Amsterdam, they can recover data for you.
Sorry but it is usually not so simple as "LED CC fix"...

You might try clearing SMART and rebuilding the translator, after taking the appropriate precautions.

I'll get this necro-topic to life. May be it would be helpfull for someone.
I had a problem with seagate barracuda green 2tb st2000dl003

This helped me:

detach power, wait for 10 sec and attach it back
HDD will recover media cache. After this you can shutdown your pc and connect hdd to sata and power.

Sorry, i cant edit previous msg and post PMs.
labtech asked me about drive's behavior in the terminal upon power on BEFORE issuing these commands.
Sorry, but i didnt save those logs. I dont do hdd recovery professionally, it was my own hdd. It showed up in bios (once per reboot) and didnt show in OS, or programs like victoria or mhdd.

But i had the same output as doncgambino

OFC those numbers were different.
By googling "ProcessRWError -Write-" i got to this forum. People here said its hard to fix it yourself, but it is not.
