MOMENTUS-B TERMINAL LOCKED

Hi everyone

Model : ST1000LM024
P/N : HN-M101MBB/AVN
cABACITY : 1TB

can't be access in terminal mode,
didn't open Ctrl-Z, Ctrl-T
error show in -BUSY
what maybe a proble pcb or anything?
please help.

Oh...didn't ask...does it spin-up, any clicking noises at all?

try mhdd on it see what it reports....do you get a LBA reading and serial.

pcb not responding without assembly... (same problem)

I don't know if the terminal will work on this drive because it's a SAMSUNG drive (remember Seagate aquired Samsung).
If the drive doesn't display anything on terminal and if you are sure that the terminal works (try with other seagate drive) then we might assume that this drive doesn't have the same type of terminal that the other seagate drives have.

Did you try with different baud rate ?

I think also samsung drive - but label printed in everything details segate(model, sno,FW).

I think that your drive is in fact a samsung HN-M101MBB, in other words, a SpinPoint M8 .....
At any rate Samsung drives also have terminal port ....

It is a Seagate with Samsung label...

Terminal will work, probably you need to read in Samsung utility, SA structure should be Samsung.

Also, baud rates are different, as are position of TX & RX so this is why terminal is not accessible

it's the other way around

if it spins up and doesn't click then it's SA problem (common on this model). Use Samsung utility/connection to get serial port output
