Do you know KingFast SSD?

We are thinking in change our office HDDs, We have seen this KingFast SSDs. looks interesting option, cheap and quick reliable option.

Do you know this company and their products?

Seriously, I would not use a Sandforce based chipset, or any OCZ products. Whatever you buy really doesn't matter, have a solid imaging and backup plan and PLAN for failure.

No network these days should care *too much* if a hard disk fails. If you are going to replace all with SSDs, best advice is to research what you should tweak in windows/Linux to suit that media and backup plan accordingly. I call SSDs Beta technology and the more I read about the technical side of it, and see almost no technical data about flash memory newer than around 3 years, but hype as hell from vendors - the more I don't trust it to be bulletproof.

Also, the brand on the outside is hard to use as a separator. Most are 1 of about 5 chips along with the same old NANDs we are used to from Micron, Samsung,Toshiba.

from what I have seen around the net about the Kingmax, I would at least try them out, the specs look as good as any, along with the product lineup.

thanks for your impresions. you are on true, the most important is to make a good and safe backup plan.



I want those drives to work without save data in those SSD drives, the SSD is very fast compared to tradicional HDD.

but i have in mind to make backups because work environment is hard, and lot of time needed to have my computers properly working.

Yes it is hard, but necessary.
It is actually not hard, but does take time and thought. With good images, knowing what software you have and keeping it all tidy and planning where your data goes, it saves time and gives you piece of mind. It all depends on support from higher up if you have bosses, and the work ethics of your colleagues.

Are you talking about just the generic drives on the market or do the bigger brands like Samsung, Intel, Toshiba, Etc use one of those 5 chips?

Which chip is the best, or does it matter?

I only use Samsung EVO series, never had a single case of bad Nand or controller.
I would not recomment OWC OEM SSD, NVME with sandforce.
