I have a HGST HTS721010A9E630 It does not read a single sector of user data from head 0, but it synchronizes perfectly and is able to read the 2 copies of the SA without problems. It is ready immediately and does not make any strange noise.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Thanks for the info.
I'm going to change plate and heads and I will comment on the result.

I would start with imaging with the working head/s first then do a head swap.
Why would you go for a platters swap?
