Hi everyone!
I recently faced a problem when a bad sector was right in MFT and caused a lot of problems, including lost files.
Windows wasn't able to boot, tried CHKDSK (in order to try to fix with MFT_Mirror), but had no luck.

So there shouldn't be much left to do than just use some data recovery software (I tried ZAR, but it recovered wrong files).

But I will explain some things about my data:
My data is about 150-200GB large.
Long time ago I had partitioned my 750 HDD this way: 100MB, 350GB, ~300GB (all NTFS).
I moved all my data to the 300GB partition and left it there.
Later I formated my drive to 100MB (FAT32), 8GB (FAT32), 50GB (FAT32), ~200GB (NTFS), ~300GB (NTFS). The data partition was left untouched.
Then I moved my data to a backup disk (later I wiped the backup disk) and formated my drive again using Windows 7 install utility.
Currently the drive is formated 100MB, 50GB, 600GB (all NTFS).

I installed Windows on the 600GB partition and moved my data the 600GB partition.
If my data is 200GB and Windows was about 50GB then the data partition isn't really touched, right?

Basically I have 2 copies of my data on my HDD.
But the real question is... how can I get it back?

As far as I know, NTFS partition uses MFT to locate files on the HDD.
Since I only partitioned the drive, there should be a MFT copy (of the data partition) somewhere on the drive.

ZAR saw my data partition, but didn't recover them quite well (too much data is damaged).
Is this only a software problem? I haven't used the 600GB parititon ever since, only the MFT is damaged.

Maybe someone can give me an idea what to do in this situation?
I did try testdisk to copy the MFT_Mirror.
Maybe the best solution would be to partition the drive the same way when the data partition was present?
ZAR showed me the offset of the data partition.
Maybe I could locate the MFT in the data partition and use it to recover files?
