I want to see if I can recover files from a 2TB HDD. This HDD keeps asking for permission when I click a folder. When I get to the folder I see I have all the files but they all have a file size of 0 bytes. Also going to recycle bin I get a request to empty the bin for which I don't on account that I might delete recoverable data. Is there a method to fixing this HDD without having to use those recovering data apps? Here is some info that might help: ST32000641AS Manufacturer Seagate Form Factor 3.5" Heads 16 Cylinders 243,201 Tracks 62,016,255 Sectors 3,907,024,065 SATA type SATA-III 6.0Gb/s Device type Fixed ATA Standard ATA8-ACS Serial Number 9WM42XKX Firmware Version Number CC13 LBA Size 48-bit LBA Power On Count 924 times Power On Time 132.1 days Speed 7200 RPM Features S.M.A.R.T., NCQ Max.
