WD2000JB-32EVA0 5V-12V swap

December 19th, 2014, 16:56

Hi there,

I used this drive in external box and by mistake connect different power adapter (had same connector but as I later noticed +5V and +12V wires were reversed)
Before I take it to experts. I would like to try swap PCB myself. The ROM is separate chip (U12)

Iam looking for donor PCB. There is loads "WD2000JB-32EVA0" but with different DCM and slightly different PCB sticker (only last letter is different)
Should i give a try?
