 Post subject: my passport ultra WD usb 3.0 2tb

my passport ultra WD usb 3.0 2tb

i bought it in june 2015, it worked 100% good
i droped it about 3 feet onto a hardwood floor and now it doesnt work

when i plug it in the light comes on and blinks
it shows up in device manager
when i go to the device manager properties and go to volumes and click populate it just loads forever and never actually loads

if the data is important my advice would be to send it to a DR firm (not a computer repair shop)

thankyou for the timely responses, i am not sure if this makes a difference but:
if i use MiniTool Partition Wizard Free it loads the hard drives for a long time and won't load but if i loosen then usb to the external 2tb hdd that is broken but not completely remove it, it shows up and i can "fix MBR" and use "explore partition" (it takes a long long time to "fix MBR") and when i explore partition it shows the director tree of my stuff... if i unplug it and plug it back in i have to fix the mbr again before i can see anything

does this change anything or is there still nothing i can do myself?

are you absolutely 100% sure that disk is spinning just fine and has no abnormal, clicking noise ?
can you record sound and upload here ?

honestly it is dangerous to play with disk which is dropped.
however i can assist you further to diagnose it if there is absolutely no abnormal noise.
