Hi
Find the update firmware for this Faraoh on Seagate site and do it.

Use a ROM and loader from a different firmware version.

Transfer adaptives to foreign ROM.

Start drive with foreign ROM, foreign loader, native adaptives.

Retrieve SA modules and tracks.

Build native loader from native resources and reinstall native ROM.

Start drive with native ROM and native loader.

The partnumber must be same.

I have built a loader using these resources:

http://files.hddguru.com/download/MRT/S ... M9868W.rar

The relevant components were found on tracks 23, 28, 38, and 39, and in modules ~001E.rpm and ~001D.rpm.

Note that MRT's "loader" is gibberish.

I have followed the structure described in the following article.

Building a Seagate F3 loader from official firmware update:
http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=1468

The only thing that puzzles me is the module type. I was expecting a module type of 0x4A (= overlay) but I found 0x0A instead.

The build time/date for the overlays is 14:25 Sept 18, 2009.
