G list to P-list never worked when i tried in MRT Hitachi utility.
MRT has many bugs, this is one of those.

I think that MRT will not read those modules properly and will state error even on Known GOOD DRIVES ...

:D :D :D

You think right, MRT returns always error when you try to read those mod, even if the drive is new and perfectly working.

Drive is using (checking writing) only first sector of those modules. So first sector should be readable. If not - there is problem with heads - just writing or reading or both in same time. (Or there is bad sector.)

read carefully. I am not talking about programs and how they work with modules. If stupid program trying to read module where only first sector formatted - I don't care. You can use my info or not - it's up to you.

I bought few days ago Sediv for Hitachi, but i still haven't tried it yet, as i know it should work properly when working on hitachi fw. Sediv is very good software for fw repair, the only limitation of it is that it doesn't have data extractor for data cloning and is strongly restricted to computer hardware and software configuration, this means that if you change your computer configuration after you have activated sediv (i mean since you get sediv license) then it will stop working on your computer.
The only way to make it work again is by returning to previous pc configuration, or by activating it again.

I have at the moment a new HGST HTS545050A7E680 drive FW: GR20A3J0 which is not supported yet by Sediv (i can't access into SA), but also MRT is not able to access into it by utility.
When i will get another hitachi drive which is supported by sediv, i will do some G to P test

Hi Michael

You can move G to P of Hitachi Drive, Even if you not have SA access.

Select option ARM, then press ok to enter into Utility, then goto translator> G to P

thats all.

its works by VSC commands
