Probably slow responding problem. Can be solved with hddsupertool, but them you have to see if there are other problems around. You can check SMART and see what it says. Is your intention recover your data or re use your hdd?

Best!

you can use CristalDiskInfo to check SMART parameters and see if there are some on them close to threshold.

I think you have an issue with rellocated sector count. Use hddsupertool to do a slow fix (you can seacrh in this forum for procedure) and then mhdd to check sectors.

Best!

If you need to recover data from the drive then you should use HDDSuperTool to apply the slow fix, and then HDDSuperClone to clone/image the drive. The drive has many bad sectors, maybe even a weak head. If you wish to try to reuse it, you can follow Spildit's information, but you will never be able to trust the drive, and it will likely not last long.

Then you should perform the slow fix using HDDSuperTool, and then do a clone using HDDSuperClone with the destination set to /dev/null. The data will not be copied anywhere as it is not needed, but this will allow the progress log to be built, and you can use HDDSCViewer to get a visual representation of the defects. This can tell you if there are just some bad areas, or if there is a weak head. If a head is weak then the heads may not be a good choice for a donor.

Sirrrrrrr,
This drive already has a good PCB ,You can test the heads with a good tool and if they are ok forget about slow fix and use heads the days you wanna use them

Applying slow fix and Doing The Longgggggggggg............... Longggggggg....... procedures will not make his pcb and heads better will they ?.I have said it earlier and i will say it now again ,If people are interested in doing and starting DR they should invest in tools
