ST31500341AS best way to unlock ata.

My brother got 2 old ST31500341AS from work a while back but I never bothered with them once I found they had ata passwords. Now I want to add them to my nas storage but am not sure how to procede or if I need addition hardware.
I used MHDD32 v4.5 via UBCD on a flash drive to confirm high security and attempted UNLOCK using the default master passwords to no avail.
Those being:
"Seagate"
"Seagate " (25 spaces)
So I'm guessing that has been changed and to proceed I will need to obtain a password. I looked at such methods as blacklotus89's and the python scripts he posted, but I am too inexperienced and don't know how or where to used them.
A guiding hand would be appreciated.
