I work for a data recovery company first time posting here I am new to PC3K I am working on a WD10EADS-65M2B1 customer brought in and it is not giving ID shows 4/4 heads DDI will not recognize shows BSY then after about 3 minutes DRDY and DSC PC3K shows the same only about 1 minute to become ready shows .49mb for size. Does anyone have any ideas to try drive spins up no clicking heads movement is felt and heard any help would be much appreciated :)

Maybe ask a colleague for help with it if it's a customer's drive.

there are couple of things you can try if drive is spinning fine and no clicking sound.
can take a look by TV if interested.

It is a client's job and sadly the other tech had to leave suddenly and I'm thrown into the world of PC3K pretty much blind I do know DDI and have been repairing computers for 13 years and doing other non PC3K related recovery's

Notorious for heads and often firmware issues. Can try a loader. Read the pc3000 WD Marvell manual. It will be helpful.

Yes, I've seen quite a few WD10EADS-xxM2Bx where one of the heads has weakened / failed. Change the Head Map in RAM (user Loader if required), work out if one of the heads is bad. The current PC3000 manual shows you how to do this on page 20.
