Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 80GB PCB Replacement

New here so sorry if I do something wrong, but I'm looking on information to get a PCB for my DiamondMax Plus 9. I searched this on eBay, but I was unsure if any of these would work for a replacement. I've posted a couple pictures of the drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In case anyone is wondering, the drive don't spin and the IC for driving the spindle gets incredibly hot, so I figure I probably fried the chip somehow.

It does.

I believe this means that the chip is dead. You might like to measure the resistances between each pair of motor terminals (at the motor). The resistance between the common terminal and each of the 3 phases should be half the phase-to-phase resistance. Expect to see values in the low ohms range.

It's a common failure.

Easiest to replace the PCB. Match the sticker near the power connector.

Could I check that by running 5/12V straight to the motor? Also, how do I know which terminal is common?

The motor's 3 phases need to be sequentially pulsed. You can't simply connect power to them.

Measure the resistances between each pair of terminals. Your results will tell you which terminal is the common. In any case all you are looking for is a reading which does not match the others.
