I need help to cut bad head 03, i have a copy of sysfiles 1b,32a, 35, 28, 01, 208, etc.
I read that cut head 03 is possible by editing the sysfile 32a. I upload the sysfile 32a
of this HDD.

Thank you in advanced.

I can't answer your question. However, if I were researching this question on a first principles basis, I would start by examining the adaptive modules (RAP/CAP/SAP) via appropriate terminal commands and analyse the structure of the outputs.

Another way to research this question would be to compare the adaptives in 3-head and 4-head versions of the same firmware (or 1 and 2 head, or 5 and 6 head). An even better comparison would be between refurbished drives where one head has been cut at the factory. One could apply this same approach to other brands.

Of course I'm assuming that you don't have commercial tools to do the head cut for you.

Thank you for answer: I do not have commercial tool to work Seagate F3, that is why i am trying to cut head in manual way. I agree with you the best way will be have an refurbish HDD to compare or have a ROM module of an HDD which have the head cut, but i do not have any ROM module of HDD with head cut for the moment, i thank if someone upload a ROM module of HDD after and before cut a head this will be the ideal case for this research.
I will post here any progress. Thank for your help.
