Samsung SP0411N Hard drive Ultra DMA problem

May 15th, 2017, 10:44

Hi!
I have SP0411N hdd. The disk running Multiword DMA 2 mode. But, (according the specifications) disk supports up to Ultra DMA mod 6(133 MB/s). And i'm using 80 line cable. I have Tried remove and reinstall IDE ATA ATAPI controller driver, tried connecting middle connector at the cable, and cleared bios.

I haven't tried update the discs FW. Does FW update solve the problem?

How to solve the problem?

Firmware updates on hard drive NEVER resolves a problem with a non-working drive. Never. Firmware updates are only for preventive planning, NOT for when the drive has already failed.
