So I have this drive that won't show up in Windows at all, but using Parted Magic, it shows up correctly until I attempt mounting the partitions, or clone the drive.
Then it just shows up as Unknown Device in Parted Magic.

Is this something that can be fixed without a board replacement?

Thanks a lot in advance :D

Can you get a SMART report with CrystalDiskInfo?

Unfortunately not.
The drive seems to switch to unknown device from any kind of attempt at smartctl or other inquiries made to the drive.
Attempts to read table made both through terminal and GSmartControl.

Board replacement will not help, drive has diskware problem. This is SSHD, drive shows parameters taken from PCB FW. It has SA\heads problems. Not for usual users.

This series of drive is even tough for many professionals.

What does it sound like?

Spinning normally?
Clicking?
Silent?
Quiet "buzz bzz bzz" noise and then silent?

Well,
I could handle any SSHD Months before PC3K latest update came out .But now this should be easy as the new update works with NAND drives in hybrid technology
