Hello guys! How's everyone doing on? Just created my account few days ago.

I would like to ask for the DR charges from you guys at different area. I used to performed DR but mainly for my close friends and relatives without any charges. Until recently I'm going into this line, my charges are started off at SGD60 to SGD150 (depending on the complexity of the issue).

Would like to hear about the charges from you guys here. Whether in freelance basis or in professional level.

Regards,
agent007

I charge for a minor problem like slow responding on WD for example, a million GBP "without" cloning the drive,
for cloning the drive I charge another 1.5 million GBP

I really don't understand what difference does it make, how much other DR Pros from different countries charging.

a Indian DR pro for example cannot charge the prices going on in the USA
actually he can, but he will be invested in tools knowledge and time up to his neck, and will be out of business in no time

you have to adapt the prices according the country you leave in, and the minimum/average wage there or like it, the prices the people around are willing to pay Etc...

Suggestions:
1) Study the local market/competition pricing models
2) Test your own prices and adjust in time
3) Don't worry so much about others' pricing. Worry about what you offer and ensure the customers see the value.

Thanks jermy and labtech for the sharing. jermy bring out "the minimum/average wage and the prices the people around willing to pay", and labtech with "started off with own prices and adjust in time, ensure the customers see the value" are very good pointer to me, appreciate!!

To be frank, the current DR prices in the market are pretty bad and competitors started off with very low service charges. My current focus point is to gather some base customers and with good feedback/reviews from them, from there slowly build up and adjust my service charge in time.

Thanks and hope to see more comments from others!

Precisely. Currently still in logical data recovery. Haven't step into semi physical or physical data recovery stage. The local market price for physical recovery starting from few K on wards..

With only logical data recovery capabilities, even don't start business.
Continue the same, doing for free. It won't become a business anyway.
