The pictured adapter connects a drive with a ZIF or 44-pin IDE interface to a 40-pin IDE host controller. The adapter appears to incorporate a 3.3V LDO regulator for powering the ZIF drive. The 44-pin interface would be directly powered from the +5V Molex pin.

usually I wouldn't like to gang up adapters, but it MAY be possible to use this as well to get to your USB:

as always, YMMV

Can do an image search on Spildit's picture and get results. That's how I got the link above.

I believe Spildit's suggestion is good. This here looks very similar/identical to Spildit's suggestion:

If not, this may be able to help you: https://www.guidancesoftware.com/tablea ... e/tda5-zif
I forget whether the Hitachi or Toshiba ZIF cables would work with Samsung drives.

Thanks all of you for kind suggestions.
It looks that following Spildit's suggestion, I would need another mother board, which would be complicated for me (as a newbie). I am still studying what "HuaQue" and "labtech" suggested.
Thanks again!!!
