Dear friends,

I am just new to this HDD. I have one 2008R2 server . Is it possible to make a mirror image of the C drive on anther new Hard disk and use that new hard disk to run my server in case of my existing C drive corrupted or physically damaged?. Your help and step b step guidelines would be appreciated .

Regards

you can also do this with tools like clonezilla. Preferable way, for me anyway with servers, is run Hyper-V, server is a VM and use veeam for backups. Free version can be used with a script. Cloning disks for server recovery isn't the best way to do it. Lots of variables like your hardware you have access to, importance of server versus the data contained on the server, if downtime is an issue etc.
