Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Wondering if the more experienced users here could make a recommendation for outsourcing a data recovery on a standard drive that is beyond our current capability to recover. I've seen some people mention hdd-parts.com. Would they be reliable?

Thanks HaQue. I'll check with them. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

What other suggestion could you possibly ever need?
OK, since we were already mentioned, here's another US based lab I'd be willing to recommend: Data Savers LLC in Atlanta (
http://www.datasaversllc.com)
Or, if you're willing to mail out of the country and want to take advantage of the Canadian exchange rate right now, try Recovery Force (

Well then, it's decided. If you are willing to make recommendations other than your own company, that says a lot, I'm going to have to give you call tomorrow! ...Plus you're much closer.
Thanks again all.

Did not plan to join the conversation, but after this remark decided "why not?"

If you'd like to take advantage of even more abusive exchange rate and it's OK for you to ship to the European side of the Atlantic, we'll be happy to help as well.
Besides that we can work remotely (online) whenever possible (RAID arrays, CCTV DVRs, virtual machines, flash, less damaged HDDs, etc.)

Somebody mentioned europe, so i dare to say i can usually do drives 3-4 labs already declared unrecoverable, however i am getting fed up with the concept of accepting all the shittiest jobs ever.
Anyway, with motivation i might be an option. I have some tools most labs would pee into their pants if they saw them + some years of experience.

I was going to post a smart-ass pic of a crazy lab like this:
- DaveLabARMSS.jpg (47.62 KiB) Viewed 5920 times
and caption "SECRET VSC Research!!"
or this
- tesla1.jpg (61.6 KiB) Viewed 5920 times
and caption "Antistatic Straps optional!"
but this Pintrest site is unbeatable! Couldn't pick one! jeez, nice to know there are crazier people than me out there!!
