 Post subject: Seagate suddenly stopped - r/w head does not move

My Seagate stopped to work and after some debugging I decided to open it....

with my surprise I have found that the r/w head is not forking properly....

I think it is forking the platter surface really good.

With the hope it is not a trolling post, it seems there are some screws missing ( for no reason ) from the head magnets and also the head contacts. Or is this just an artifact of the image ( or maybe this hdd model comes like this ) .

As for the data in the drive, well, say your respectful farewells and give the hdd a viking funeral at the sea.

Looks like its a Seagate Mobile drive. If so, and the head screw has not been replaced before spinning up, those heads are just digging forking holes.
