 Post subject: Seagate ST32000641AS With Hitachi PCB. :)

A consumer sent this drive for swapping PCB.
i have said that i got one .

after i see i was shocked. :shock:

now i need Pcb 220 0A90284 01.
12 V TVS and motor chip was burnt.
hitachi and HGST Drives use this pcb.

does any 2 tb hitachi (last number of model 640 and 641) matches

Must be a "Hitgate" and spelling errors on the label, have seen these on E-bay.
Wonder why they label them as Seagate, only reason i can think of is to keep the price low :)

Label is also upside down for a Seagate.

Yes. there is a spelling error on label . Only one error i could see. The Chinese man is advancing English.
..as you can see in the picture.

owner of this hdd tried to recover pcb via changing Motor chip without NVram.
he waste one healhty PCB. Hdd with this PCB gives bad some sound and stops.

Original PCB was made in Taiwan . other one was made in China.. or vice versa..

this PCB no. actually belongs to a 2TB or 3TB Hitachi drive
So... can't understand why did the original seller had to print (fake) a new ST label
