This article is out of date (your drive is not discussed), but it provides useful insight:

The first character in Seagate serial numbers reflects the place of manufacture, while the third character reflects the number of heads.

don't make it so hard
we DR guys doing it -all the time - for much older drives
just bought yesterday a match for a ST manufactured in 2008 - much older then yours
there is a lot of sources out there to buy those stuff

and yes sometimes (rare) its really hard to find a match, but this is part of the job

getting back to your Q

yes there is
but for that you'll need much more experience

It might be compatible, but wouldn't be my first choice of drives to try.

SN of the patient drive : Z2F

I do not think that the models in the picture are compatible. Donor drive SN start as S2F

I do not think it will be the right choice for me.

am i wrong?

I've just worked on one of these. There was decent compatibility between S2F0 and Z2F0 drives. A good recovery was made. It was not necessary to import the head-adaptives into the the ROM.

The physical head map on these disks are 1,2,3,4,5.

For reference, the patient HDD was:

ST2000DM001
SN: S2F0....
9YN164-500
CC4B
SU

Donor was:

ST2000DM001
SN: Z2F0....
9YN164-302
CC4C
TK

I hope this helps.

John.
