External hard drive cannot find MBR sector

February 14th, 2018, 9:54

Hi,

I have some how messed up the MBR partition on my external hard drive.

On my disk management the hard drive shows up as "Unknown not initialized".

And when I try to initialize I get the error "the drive cannot find the sector requested".

The hard drive works perfectly on all other computers

I have used Mini tool to "Rebuild MBR" on the other computer where the hard drive is detected but when I plug the hard drive back in my computer, I am unable to access it.

I am using windows 10.

(Something to note that all external passport hard drives are acting same on my computer)

Thank you
