February 22nd, 2018, 4:56

Hi everyone Guru here!

I need to swap a G3448A PCB from USB conection to SATA, in order to read a HDD.

I already´ve read some post about it (at this forum) but i´m still have doubts.

I know what capacitors must remove, but i have no idea of were to sold (and the order) of SATA wires. I ´ve read something about sold them at the MCU side, but i still don´t know how to do it.

Please, can some of you, o great GURUS, help me with this? All answers will be wellcome. Thank you in advance!

Here is a SATA PCB which uses the same MCU (88i9317-RA12):

Follow the SATA Tx/Rx differential pairs from the MCU to the SATA connector. That should tell you the order.
