Dear 3k Users..

I was wondering if someone is willing to share/exchange FW DB resources with us.

Am talking about the new families here to be more specific like: PebbleB, BigBearH, Spyglass ... etc.

If someone is interested please PM

Thank you

Sorry for the delay replying guys i was out for few days ....
Just to gather all of us in one place, those who sent me PM`s will explain it to you here in public and you may reply in PM if you want.

I had an idea before of running a 24h VM with a copy of my DB`s online ( i made separate DB files WD, Tosh, Sam & SG,,,etc)
where all of us can connect to and get access to its resources any time
but coz most of you know that many will try to hack/crack whatever (i don`t care since its a copy)

OR

I can think of sending you guys a copy of my DB Files in a HDD (all of them) and you send me yours (Exchange Resources) I think its better/Faster for all

but i know some of you guys keep all his resources in one DB file (not recommended based on my daily work)
better to have each alone, see attached is my sample DB files.

I backup only ROM & Modules ONLY, and optimize my DB files every 6 months (twice a year) for faster DB search when needed.

"I recommend if you guys put ur DB files in SSD drive (you can thank me later once you test it and see how fast this will go)"

Once we Agree with the headlines together we can proceed direct am ready here

this is my opinion, what do u think?

Thank you again

I generally don't bother with the database and save the resources out to files. If you'd like access to my online shared resources, let me know in a PM

once you try it for some time you will know its faster to access specific resources specially when ur DB is located in SSD

so far i got i think enough PM`s to start with,,, will reply to you guys all

BTW, i would like to for example do the following:

Will introduce you guys (those who sent PM`s) just to know each other more

then we will decide either we will ship the resources in HDD between each other or Upload/Download resources

Thank you again

:agree:

Better way is to have a way for upload/download.
Imagine that 20 guys accept this: you have to send 20 hdd's and each one also send another 20.
Not good I think...

I had actually started a Resilio Sync folder (which is nice for international sharing due to the torrent style sharing) with a pile of collected resources in it. But, no one seemed to want to contribute, only leech it. So I haven't been bothering to keep up with it now.

I think no need to use Encryption, and prefer to make it simple sharing really

Am having a stupid Upload speed here (maybe 300k Max.) and DB files compressed will be about 100GB will take ages to upload (keep in mind errors)
thats why i prefer to ship it..

Actually you gave me a hint here...

I think better we find the Best Host (user) with fastest Upload speed
and we all upload to him then everybody downloads from there in order

let me know guys if this works with you..
