I wanted to back up my data. I plugged the power. and this occurs.

I used to identical PCB. Everything is the same except the serial number.( swapping chip already). but it is useless.

Now i lost the flash chip.

If you lost ( don´t know where it is ) the flash chip, then game over. No cheap solution.

If you still have the flash chip, why do you believe it is damaged ? Try reading it in an external programmer.

I think he's referring to this IC, which is not the BIOS.

i know that is not flash chip..

but it needs donor PCB.
identical PCB can't solve problem.

at the end i lost the flash chip at my home.

after all I'm afraid to change seagate PCB.

7200.14 series is a troublemaker.

I understand he doesn´t have the chip anymore. If that is so, then no use to keep insisting with this hard disk. He can store it in some place in the case he founds the chip on the floor later.

Most likely it's NOT his drive and it's a client HDD instead if we take intro consideration the number of posts done by the OP on the last day(s) regarding diferent drives ...

when i recover a disk i got a many oppurtunity.. you know..
Recovered data needs another hdd.

i never harm clients data.. Most of successfully recovered. as you can see below.

If you were using the PCB as donnor and/or donor drive then why to bother to get another compatible PCB ?

You can still use head(s) from the drive without PCB and you can put the ROM chip from the patient drive on the donor PCB (that you toasted).

Why to bother to get a new working PCB to the drive then ?

i send recovered data with another healhty disk.

mass of data needs another hard drive.
it can be shipping another city.
