I bought this hard drive, brand new,
HD Hitachi 2TB 3,5" SATA3 HUS726020ALA610 2.60 (Ultrastar)It is mounted on a ext. case 3,5"
LC-Power LC-35U3-Becrux, connected to the pc by 3.0 Usb port
Please help me to understand whether it is appropriate to open an RMA procedure. I got it from an online retailer. In that case I have to send it back.
Many thanks for the help!
Since the first ignition it has always made this suspicious noise - link to the video
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qvPRP3lb4aCFAyd4FgH6lk0LFoxFUXGF/view?usp=sharing please turn up the volume of the playerExplanation of the video: Up to the first 10 seconds, the hd is ON, the engine runs silent, but is not connected to the PC. Once connected to the PC, the reading operations begin: it is possible to hear a "dry blow" for 5 times alternating with a continuous "tc tc tc tc tc tc tc tc tc", or, "tr tr tr tr tr tr tr", as you prefer. In the last seconds of the video you can hear the solitary "tc tc tc tc tc ..."
It is precisely the continuous and infinite "tc tc tc tc tc tc tc ..." that worries me: the noise inside the HD
from what it comes from?
The dealer's assistance told me that it could be an alignment problem, but it is not reported by the software I used to diagnose (please, see attached images).
Thanks for your help
