wd40ezrz-00wn9b0 my book mac encrypted

May 23rd, 2018, 21:49

I have a wd40ezrz-00wn9b0 my book mac, mirrored 100% either via pc 3000 decypt/encrypt with SED disabled or enabled as well as using original usb enclosure. Tried all the combinations. I can see some partitions with Garbage partition labels. Only about 7000 files raw recovery, all seem corrupted, sector 0 and 1 seem normal. Connected Mac, no password required. Is it because APFS? Client did not set a password. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Maybe it's APFS encrypted partition or HFS encrypted with FileVault.
If is FileVault encrypted then follow this guide:

but first you should do a double clone due to changes that will be applied directly on partition structure by following the guide.
