ST1000LM014 SSHD

June 4th, 2018, 17:15

Hello
The drive in topic not spin up at all. ATA registers shows busy but no power up.
No terminal output/access. Is there any way to clear NAND? (unfortunately, don't have donor PCB)

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Reinitialize a NAND chip you can use command /OI. But if you have in Terminal error like Flash Erase Failure then probably is a problem with Nand chip and you need donor PCB.

Do you personally imagine how to initialize a SSHD Rosewood drive on a foreign PCB?

ST1000LM014 is a Kahuna family and you can reinitialize foreign PCB . Rosewood is a diferent family and it is not SSHD drives.

Agree. It's Kahuna not Rosewood.
There's no terminal output at all.
I will try to find a donor PCB.
Thank you
