Need help to fix delays and bad sectors.

June 10th, 2018, 8:36

I had 2 of my hard drives filled with bad sectors. From a bootable flash drive with HDD Regenerator I recovered almost all the bad sectors of one of the disk (500gb) and I scanned it again and there I found lots of delays. More than 1000. So I request you guys to tell me how to fix them. Now the second hard drive I had (250gb) I selected scan and repair and it found lots of delays and found bad sectors which were not recovered....so please can someone kindly tell me how to fix these delays and the bad sectors at the same time.

Thanks in Advance!

If you had data on the drives, some part of it now is probably lost for you. You would have needed to ask questions before running hdd-destructor. I even think there is a warning in that "tool" advising to run it only on empty drives.

One little thing you can still do is unscrew the pcb from the drive and inspect/clean the connectors, then reassemble the drive and try to copy or clone your data with hddsuperclone or ddrescue, as advised.

Other than that, it is time to send the drive for professionals, if the data is considered important. We have some competent people from India in the forum that could help you.

The OP didn't bother to mention the model and even the brand of his drives, didn't check their SMART and you are ready to help him !!!
Why do you bother to answer him at all?
