My hard drive used to have a bit of freeze on opening some of the files so I decided to run a chkdsk /f via CMD. That converted my disc to dynamic somehow and it wouldnt even let me boot to windows. Anyway after installing EaseUS partition master I was able to turn my hard drive back to basic and be able to boot to windows with it.
However now the problem is I can not back it up or even open some of the files without a huge freeze. I am now doing bad sector check up on it via EaseUS partition again but the remaining time has stuck on 695 hours or apx a full month for it to finish working. I was hoping if there is a better way to deal with this and be able to keep my data?

If you do care for your data STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING right now and CONSULT WITH A SPECIALIZED DATA RECOVERY FIRM !!!

If you do want to attempt to recover the data by yourself please post the full model of the drive, a S.M.A.R.T. attributes screen capture taken for example with Victoria for windows and lacking hardware based cloning tools you should attempt to clone your damaged drive to a new working one using hddsuperclone or ddrescue.

If you keep on testing/playing with the damaged drive you will end up loosing your data for good.

Also you might need to apply some firmware manipulation so that you can clone/image your drive and for that it's very important that you do post the full model of the drive + S.M.A.R.T. attributes.

But again if the data is important do consider the use of professional services.

Regards and good luck.
