Dully noted! :)

Another way to clar those pending sectors ....

LOW LEVEL FORMAT (ZERO FILL) - WRITE TO ALL SECTORS - DO SECURITY ERASE - WHATEVER !!!

This will "test" each sector/LBA for write. If sector ise good it will be re-used and removed from RE-LO. IF BAD the sector will be added to G-List and swapped by spare !

IF you do want to PLAY with WDR and drives and you do intend to learn you do need to start reading some stuff to learn how this things works ...

Here you have a good start :

Translator, Defect Lists and Bad Sectors :

Understanding translator "shifts" :

Testing hard disks with some confidence :

Executing a "Cosmetic Fix" on drives with Bad Sectors :

Assigning slow sectors to the P-List :

DO NOT CLEAR STUFF LIKE P-LIST AND EVEN SMART ON A DRIVE WITH DATA THAT YOU DO NEED TO KEEP !!!!

When you do finish reading ALL the links that i did post read the next ones :

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=1456

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1252

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SELF-SCAN YOUR DRIVES WITH WDR. You need something better like WDMarvel or SeDiv (lacking PC-3000, etc ...).

Good luck.

Best way to "learn" from those topics is to test and practice at the same time with the drives that you have to learn the concepts.

Also your WDR is a "pirated" version of my HRT WD Marvell tool : - http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php? ... 1576#p9323

So you can follow my guides very easly as my guides were written for HRT tool and WDR is very identical (as it's chinese rip-off) so it's more easy to follow and do stuff on your drives like i explain on my guides.

Happy Learning !
