Seagate Expansion Portable Drive not detected

Hi! I've seen this subject a couple of times around, but I would like to try a bit different approach, and some extra information is needed.
The drive information is:
SEAGATE (SAMSUNG) model SRD0NF1 / 1TB
Disk PN: HN-M101ABB/ESA
REV. A
F/W: 2BA30003 05/2016
Controller board with embbeded USB bridge: 100760718 REV. C
The disk spins up, but with NO led blink at all, and no recognizable heads movement (also no click-of-death).
Windows does not recognize the unit, although some moves are sensed on Device Manager, but with no conclusive results.
My intention is to BYPASS the USB bridge, accessing the SATA interface directly through the buffer capacitors. As of now, I haven't found the pinout for the 88i9422-NDB2 IC (from Marvell). The closest information has been found on https://habr.com/sandbox/46620/
I would be very grateful to be able to count on your valuable advice.

The 100720903 SATA PCB has an 88i9422-NDB2 MCU:

You can identify the MCU's SATA Tx/Rx pins by following the traces back from the SATA connector. The MCU on your USB PCB (100760718) will use these same pins.

Don't you agree that simply bypassing the USB bridge - being here the problem - would provide access to the whole thing?

If you convert the drive to SATA, how are you planning to power it ?

You changed your question from that other thread, so I ask again : what was the initial problem ? USB connector malfunction, was it dropped, what else ?

Along with all of that, have you tried to use an Y usb connector ? That is, one with two tips that go into the computer ?

Answering your questions:
1) Windows does not detect the unit. The disk spins up, but with no evident heads movement. No lit LED.
2) The goal is data recovering. So, the convertion would be temporary. It looks like I could use the existing USB power source, or even directly from the desktop PC PSU.
3) The customer said it was working fine, no drops. It looks like a connector malfunction. I haven't got a spare USB connector.
4) Sorry, I also haven't got that USB cable. Do you mean provide a more efficient power source (more mA's)?

I don't agree that the bridge is necessarily the culprit. It could be that the drive is not coming ready, in which case the bridge would not be able to detect it. I would examine the output from the drive's serial terminal port.

You might like to connect the drive to a USB 2.0 port, just in case the problem is with the USB3.0 pins.

Somehow I read your first post as of the drive not spinning. If it is spinning, you can keep using the usb connector for power if you convert it to sata.

Depending on experience , tools and luck, the conversion to sata would be considered permanent. Either way, if the idea is data recovery, the drive would be discarded after the recovery.

Yes, I mean provide a stronger power source. Two usb ports, or a real powered usb hub ( one that has its own power supply ) .
