Hello Friends

After a while the Samsung HD161HJ disc starts the engine stops. I'm gonna change the Pcb. Which ROM on the PCB?

No rom in pcb. Rom is inside main chip.

You need to get same board with the same firmware, or adapt board or firmware to be the same as your hard disk.

That said, the problem may not be in the board. Are you connecting the disk directly to the sata port of a computer, or through USB adapter Have you tried with another power supply for the computer, or at least another sata plug ?

I'm using a DFL 4x data recovery device.

Samsung HD161HJ disc motor stops after running? what is the solution to the problem.

If it spins up OK and then stops, then it’s highly unlikely to be a PCB problem.

Most likely a firmware issue.

Some terminal output would help a proper diagnosis, rather then just assuming it’s the PCB.

The problem of stopping when I plug in from the same donor pcb card is solved. I can not reach it. Which chip to change.

Start by providing the log as suggested by @pcimage and @Spildit.

No "chip" to change in this.

Match FW version on both PCBs !!!

If that is not possible use donor drive to HOT SWAP to damaged drive. Check A-List. Copy overaly from donor drive. Move PCB.

If you can't check this out / figure that out you better send the drive to a professional or at least to someone who knows what she/he is doing ...

Most likely PCB is ok and you have damaged to A-List for example, or bad heads ...

Because FW of donor PCB is not compatible FW is not properly initialized.
