I hope your intent was only to refurbish this drive and not to get data back... You shouldn't have touched the P-List.

Your problem was most likely just related to the slow responding bug at first. Now, you've got much bigger problems.

You broke it badly for data recovery when you did this.

Good thing data is not important, since you trashed it when you merged the G and P list. Since data is not important, no need to try further since you won't be able to recover it now anyway. Unless you backed up the modules before you did that and are able to write them back.

But I guess you can use the drive as a test subject for the WD slow responding issue now, do a search for it. Just expect the data to be corrupt now after what you did.

Now if you didn't change anything else on the drive and if the format with P-List was the quick format (not the one that erase data) it's still possible to recover data !

You can recover the original P-List from SS Logs. You can for example run test D2 alone with parameter 0000 .... as long as you don't clear the old SS Logs there is still hope .

+1

data is not important than why bother to recover it ?

As mentioned by Spildit if the Format with P-list was quick and not the one which erases all data, there is possibility to recover the drive. You need to restore original P-List from Logs, if you can't do that we can help you.

good luck

You could try copying back original tracks, then run slow fix.
