Hello,
I have an external hard drive, Seagate Back plus 2TB 3.5" . It's from 2013.
I had some problems with it, and seatools Short DST test fail and also long test failed.
I tried to do a full format on it but it failed after it reached 70%.
I wanted to run test with Seatools DOS, so i took the Hard drive out from the enclosure,
and tried to connect it directly to my computer using SATA, but BIOS don't recognize it.
You can hear the hard drive spin, and there are NO click noises or something like this.
I connected the hard drive back to the USB enclosure, and connected it to the computer, and windows says it needs to be
format. so i click to format it, but it fail.
I read the post about the SEAGATE 7200.11 BIOS don't recognize (
viewtopic.php?t=11040&start=).
I think maybe i have the known BYS problem with the Seagate st2000dm001,
but how can i know if this hard drive is the
7200.11 series?
It doesn't say it on the hard drive sticker (see picture).
Thank you.
