I want to disable APM on this hdd because of the aggressive head parking. The drive has accumulated 768 load/unload cycles in the 65 hours that its been on and honestly the clicking is annoying.
I tried using HDAT2. I unplugged the sata power cable so that DCO frozen is disabled, restored DCO, changed APM settings correctly, and then modified DCO without any error prompt yet APM does not get disabled.
Can I try anything else to permanently disable APM?
