Hi, I have a question about data recovery, after unqualified opening of HDD in a not so-called "clean room". I am sure that HDD's platters are not damaged and dust didn't land on them. I also know that head of HDD is damaged, cause it doesn't read hdd, and also moves infinitely clicking around. The question is "is it still possible to recover information from that HDD? After it was openned".

Most likely .. yes ... at least partially IN and only IF you STOP playing with it RIGHT NOW, make sure the lid is closed and send it to a REPUTABLE data recovery firm !!! AND NOT A REGULAR COMPUTER REPAIR SHOP.

It will be expensive but most likely you will get at least some data ....

Also PRAYING might help ...
