Hello,
Looking for guidance. Infected Windows 7 drive (Maxtorplus II).
Microsoft Alert - call this number ...
Removed drive, tried to copy files (as external drive on another computer). Failed. Corrupted the thumb drive. Possibly encrypting files - folder names jibberish & thumb drive became not accessible.
Scanned drive W/ Avast AV & Malware Megabytes - little found.
Somehow second machine tried to boot from the drive, in exhausted state, I mistakenly ran Start Up Repair.
Bad! Drive no longer recognized.
Seems to spin up and hear normal head movement.
Best next step?
