Hello
The drive in topic has PCB issue, I found a fully matched donor for PCB swap ( PCB number + FW ) are same.
After clearing NAND on donor drive ( O I )
I transfered the patient ROM to donor PCB. The drive spin up but still ID with donor SN and no user area access.

The donor drive access SA and user area with it's native ROM and with patient ROM.

what was the symptom with original PCB ?
can we see terminal log ?

With native PCB+ROM the drive stays busy and no terminal output (no spin up)

SSHD always start reading ROM from copy embedded in NAND? is that right?
If yes, After erasing (donor NAND) and transfer patient ROM to donor PCB this should make the patient start from the external ROM?

No, it will still start from NAND. However, there is a way of getting it start from sfl of course.
