I have a WD that comes without ROM.
It is a WD5000LPVX.
Is there any way to know the firmware version it carries?

Another curiosity that comes to me. How can I make a WD not work with copy 0 of the SA and only work with copy 1?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that's what I use when I rebuild a ROM, I wanted to know if there was any other way.
Tomorrow if the work leaves me time I will try to see how to modify the ROM to work only with a copy of the SA. In particular I would be interested in using only copy 1.

Greetings and thanks again.

At any rate why would you want to do this ? Better to move SA to another head if head 0 is gone ...

That option also fits me.
The only thing I still do not know how to do it so that he does not read from copy 0.

Tomorrow I will do tests with a good HDD and comment.
