Recover fata from bent platter.... Will any day be posible ?

November 26th, 2018, 9:08

Since I had to do a job about hard drives, I found the MFM technique very interesting to be able to retrieve information from a bent platter.

Obviously the MFM technique today is impossible to apply due to the high density of the hard disks and their high capacities. In 2013 a study was published where it was concluded that this technique is impossible today. (Maybe with infinite time and money)

Do you think that in the future there will be some way or, on the contrary, due to the increasing success of the SSD drives will they leave the HDD aside?
