Drive history.
Customer pluged in high voltage . After then he swapped platter to another HD160HjI drive. But Different PCB number , different manufactured country, seems different family.
There is 2 problem.

1st
I have checked patient pcb diods normal. In MRT only busy light on. Cannot read Rom. Also no external Rom chip. It's embedded. Cannot read Rom . I don't know still alive ROM data . I think it's family T166

2nd.
Platter looks dirty. Need clean. And head looks died.

Firstly how can I get ROM data ?. I searched . Thanks Spildit shared a way. hot swap method with compatible donor .

I need advice

hi HddDonor

i think you can use same pcb without rom. even 1tb like 103.. no need rom firmware transfer to donor pcb.

however can you upload the plater pictures.

Those platters are un-recoverable.

If you do need to recover data from those you will need a time machine.
