Found that MRT now have a MCMT fixing option. I'll try it tomorrow and see what happens.

OK... I tried now the MRT repair MCMT table tool and it keeps asking me: "Please get the system file list".
Is there another way to try to get the system file list?

Found that MRT now have a MCMT fixing option. I'll try it tomorrow and see what happens.

I am sure this is not for the Rosewood drive, so dont use it.

Didn't used it after i got sys files. But i'm stuck on this UNC issue.
I guess it's a translator problem... But i know that it's not a good idea to recalculate it

Sys file 348 shows read error on the log you posted, you gotta try force read it by different method and write it back to the drive.

I'm realy sorry for my newbie questions here, but i've read a lot of information about MC and translator problems on Rosewood here on this forum lately, but it seems that there is no consensus about regeneration of translator.
Should I try this MRT method on my case?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi8qNZGmGak

Based on what this guy related (appearently same problem than mine), there is another way to do it

Is there an opportunity to repair sys file 348 by composite read? That is, can you read all the good sectors in each copy of the module, and then assemble one good module from the two partial reads? Or does repairing the module involve something else? I haven't done this before, but I'd be interested in having a look, if only to satisfy my curiosity.

Yep that is exactly what you should be trying to do,force read both copies even with errors, open both copies in hex editor and then try to formulate a good copy, then write it back to the drive.

Hello guy. Thank you so much for your time and elucidation.
I've been reading and studying a lot to understand this problem. Tried to read sys_348 (both copies) on every option that MRT gives me. Probably there is another way, but i'm not getting it.
Every time i try to read sys_348 i got a dialog box with "ERROR" and this Log message:

ABA25382 -25637 Read failure. Diagnostic error code: 0x5003, Read and write the error code: 0x44090082

Don't know if it will be possible to read any sector of it to make a good copy and write it to disk.

Thanks again for your help.

Try to make a new task in DE and select the option create virtual translator, make sure the seagate utility is opened in the background before doing this. Then select Read via utility and it should give you further steps

be careful with playing translator without original sys files or modules.

specially , if you are newbie don't try to play with translator like this rosewood model.

You will not be able to read a good copy by even composite reading... both copies will have problem on the same sectors.

Well.. i didn't even found how to force read it. Tried to start a DE task with the option "create virtual translator", but it only allows me to read User Area sectors with errors, not sys files.
After that HDD became BSY and really don't know what to do to make it ready again (I have the backup of all sys files except 348, LDR and ROM).
How could I get back to Ready and, considering that it is impossible composite read, how should I try to reach User Area without errors?

(remembering that this is only for educational proposals. Not a costumer device).
